STAFF DEVELOPMENT WORKSHOPS

5 Pre-primary teachers from Rural Centres were selected to participate in an  In-service Pre_primary Teachers Course organized by the Madrasah Resource Centre – Mombasa.

The course included the following subjects:

 -         Active Learning

-         Child Development

-         Principles of Adult Child Interaction.

-         How Children Learn

-         Islamic Integration

-         Curriculum Areas

-         Team Work

-         Material Development

After the completion of the course, these teachers have been charged to organize workshops for their colleagues.

The 1st workshop for teachers from the Rural Centres of Samburu, Chengoni and Mackinnon Road was conducted at Al Mahdi PrePrimary School,  Samburu Centre. The 2nd group from Burani, Bahakanda and Miamba was arranged  in Al mahdi Pre-Primary school, Burani Centre followed by the  third group of teachers from Shimoni and Kichakamkwaju Centres conducted at Ahlul Bayt PrePrimary school,  Shimoni Centre.
