HOLY RAMADHAN 1428 AH IFTAR DISTRIBUTION REPORT


A month of Fasting and Sharing

The overwhelming response from Muminin enabled us to undertake following arrangements:

-  Iftar assistance at 23 Masjids in the Rural Centres

-  Ration was provided to the community. The women took part in cooking Iftar for serving at the masjid after maghribayn prayers. More than 1200 families including 2000 children benefited. The daily average number of persons who partook Iftar were 3600 including women and children.  

-  Food parcels were distributed to 205 families residing in the Urban centres.

-  Food parcels were distributed to 106 families in the Rural Centres.

-  Ration was also provided to 7 Boarding Secondary schools and Inmates of Shimo la Tewa Borstal / Prison.

Food Items distributed were:
 
Maize Meal – 10,464 Kgs
Wheat Flour – 7000 Kgs
Sugar – 4300 Kgs
Cooking oil 3 litres – 290 cans

Beans - 4050 Kgs
Dates – 560 Kgs
Rice  - 2367 Kgs
Tea Leaves – 262 Kgs
Yeast – 38 packets
Goats - 452

Cooking oil 20 litres - 104 drums

On Eid-ul-Fitr, meat was distributed to families in the Rural Centres. Eid gifts was presented to all Madrasah students and Mubaligheen.

HOLY RAMADHAN TABLEEGH PROGRAMME :

The Masjid in the Rural Centres held the following programmes.

 Special sessions for recitation of Quran
 Lectures on Sawm.
 Dua Iftitah, Dua Tawassul and Dua Kumayl.
 Events such as Wiladat : Imam Hassan (a.s),  Wafat : Bibi Khadija (a.s), Wafat : Imam Ali bin   Abitalib ( a.s.) were observed.
 Amal of Laylatul Qadr were performed on the respective nights. Sehri was served thereafter.
 In Mombasa, Zahra Women Group arranged the Laylatul Qadr aamals for the whole night on the 23rd of Mahe Ramadhan.

Hidaya ya Ramadhan : Radio Broadcast Programme


On 1st October  2007,  a special 6 part series of Hidaya ya Ramadhan hit the airwaves on Pwani FM 103.0 Radio Station.  
Highly informative lessons on Tafseer Suratul Qadr, excellence on the Holy month, Dua and bidding farewell to the Holy month were delivered by Sheikh Abdillahi Nassir, Ustadh Muhammad Dumila and Sharif Aidarus. In addition, the programme included recital of Shahru Ramadhan Duas and Qasidas.

All this has only been possible through the generous donations received from Mumineen all over the world.

Our prayers, by wasila of Ahlul Bayt a.s., may Allah S.W.T. reward all those who contributed in abundance, for He has said, "…. And Allah gives manifold increase to whom He pleases …" {Al Baqara 2:261}
