HUSAYN DAY SEMINAR 1430 A.H.

“The act of injustice done anywhere anytime is a threat to justice everywhere every time …!” 

The Twelfth successive Husayn Day seminar for secondary school students was held on Saturday 21st February 2009 at Samburu Secondary School. The seminar was attended by more than 650 students representing 18 secondary schools, madrassahs and upper primary schools from Kinango, Kwale, Kilifi and Mombasa Districts.

The seminar was presided by Haji Juma Ali, from BMMK. The program commenced with recitation from the Holy Qur’an with translation by a student from Samburu Secondary School. A welcome address was delivered by Headmaster of Samburu Secondary School. There were two papers delivered by Ustadh Salim Said and Ustadh Ali Bahero respectively.

Ustadh Salim Said spoke on the historical life of Imam Husayn a.s., his disciples and how the tragedy of Karbala took place. While Ustadh Ali Bahero dwelt on the  HADITH THAQALAYN AND IMAM HUSAYN A.S. The lectures were thought provoking and linked the event of Ashura to the contemporary events.

After salat an interactive Question / Answer session took place. This session was lively and very active.  It attracted many questions that were responded to the satisfaction of the participants.
