On 30th June 2007, Zahra Women’s Group of Bilal Muslim Mission of Kenya organized Bibi Fatima / Bibi Zainab Day for ladies from all Communities in Mombasa. The attendance was gratifying with over 250 attendants of different sects. The programme started with the Recitation of the Holy Quran and Hadithul Kisa followed by Qasidas on Bibi Fatima (as) and Bibi Zainab (as). 
A Powerpoint Presentation on life of Bibi Zaynab (as) was presented by Sis. Sheila Molu. This included her life and also the ordeal she went through in order to spread Islam.
An educative Quiz programme was organized which included questions on Fiqh, Quran and Akhlaq. Zahra Madrasah Junior students participated and answered questions satisfactorily. 
In her speech, the Chairlady of Zainabiya Society, Mrs Kulthum Khaku, stressed the importance of Tableegh in today’s society. Giving example of Suratul-Dahr, she emphasized on the importance of sharing our blessings with others who are less fortunate. She also condemned inequity among different races. 
The programme ended with a powerful speech by sister Fatma Bule. She talked about the life of Bibi Fatima Zahra (as), giving examples of her humbleness and piety and how women of today’s age should follow her footsteps. 
Bilal Muslim Mission of Kenya thanks all the Participants and all those who attended the Programme. Special thanks go to the Convener, Sakina bai Dhala and her team of dedicated teachers of Zahra Madrasah who wholeheartedly worked hard to make this programme a success. |
