FOUNDATION STONE LAYING CEREMONIES FOR
MASJID HUSAYN AND CLASSROOMS IN BAHAKANDA VILLAGE
& MASJID MUJTABA AND CLASSROOMS IN MIAMBA VILLAGE

The dreams of praying in a well built Mosque are now coming true after a long period of praying in run down temporary structures

The 1st of April 2007 was a historical and joyful day for the Communities of Bahakanda and Miamba Villages when the Foundation Stones for Mosques and new classrooms were laid in a colourful cermony.

Haji Sajjad M. Rashid laid the Foundation Stone in Bahakanda Village. The project  involves construction of Masjid, a classroom, Muallim’s house, renovation of two classrooms and extension of a classroom.

The Foundation Stone at Miamba Village was laid by Dr. Roshanali Merali. The project involves contruction of Masjid, four classrooms and Mualim’s house.

The programmes in the two villages commenced with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran followed by a Qasida. This was then followed by short speeches by the Chairman of Bilal Muslim Mission of Kenya, Haji Abbas Nasser and the Masjid Imam. This was followed by address by Haji Sajjad Rashid and Dr. Roshan Merali. Thereafter, the foundation stone laying ceremonies were performed.
 

The function was attended by several Dignitaries including Chairman of Mombasa Jamaat, Haji Rajabali Bandali.
