The Opening Of Masjid Ahlul Kisa and Classrooms Print E-mail

The Community of Ahlul Kisa Education Centre in Kichakamkwaju Village did not have a purpose built Masjid. Now they have added happiness, for on Saturday 26th August 2006, the newly built Masjid Ahlul Kisa was declared officially open by The President of World-Federation of K.S.I. Muslim Communities, Dr. Ahmed Hassam acconpanied by WFED Executive councillor/chairman of Dsm Jamat, Haji Anverali Dharamsi  at the Kichakamkwaju Village.

The guests who included Chairman of Central Bilal Board, Haji Zulfikar Dewji, Chairman of Mombasa Jamaat, Haji Rajabali Bandali, Haji Abid Hemani, Sheikh Abdillahi Nassir, Mulla Abdulrasul Khaki and other dignitaries were given a rousing traditional welcome on arrival

The Programme included presentation by students of Madrasah Ahlul Kisa and speech by the Masjid Imam. This was followed by addresses from Haji Zulfikar Dewji, Haji Abbas Nasser and Dr. Ahmed Hassam. Thereafter the Masjid was dedicated open with recitation of Salawat/Takbir and unveiling of Plaque by Dr. Ahmed Hassam.

After the recitation of Dhohrain prayers, the guests proceeded to the newly constructed Ahlul Kisa Madrasah/Pre-primary classrooms.  Dr. Ahmed Hassam performed the official opening ceremony of the classrooms.

With the assistance of World federation of K.S.I Muslim Communities, the construction of Masjid  and classrooms commenced from March 2006. The Local community is grateful for this valuable donation. It is through such gestures of support that the Mission is able to undertake the various Tableegh activities to the needy in the Rural Areas.

Kichakamkwaju Village is located in Kwale District. It has a population of 94 Shia Families. The facilities include Madrasah and Pre-primary classrooms. There are currently 125 Students in the Nursery and 148 students in Madrasah.
