Hussein Day Seminar 1433 AH Print E-mail

The sacrifice of Imam Hussein (A.S) is not limited to one country or nation, but it is the hereditary state of the brotherhood of all mankind.” Dr. Rajendra Prasad.

 In order to learn from lessons from the great sacrifice of Imam Hussein (as) Bilal Muslim Mission of Kenya organized a seminar in Samburu Secondary School for the students. This was attended by a total of 994 Students from 14 different schools participated. 

The first paper entitled “Early history of Islam and lessons from Imam Hussein (as)” was presented by Sheikh Hadi Valdipour. In this paper he emphasized on: 

  1. The basic tenets of Islam
  2. The lineage of Imam Hussein (as)
  3. The lineage of Imam
  4. The reasons Imam Hussein (as) was forced to rise up against the caliphate
  5. Human rights in Imam Hussein (as) message

The second paper entitled “Bani Ommayyid” was presented by Brother Hassan Rocky Chupi, he elaborated on: 

  1. Who was Muawiyyah and his rule
  2. Fabrication of ahadith
  3. Fabrication Uprising of Imam Hussein (as) compared to the current times.

The participants had a salaat break thereafter; there was a Question and Answer forum, which was aimed to provide more information to the students about the areas covered in the discussions.

 The Mission distributed free reading literature to all the participants of the seminar. 

Comment from the Principal: 

“This was a good forum which brought Muslims together in remembrance of the righteous person Imam Hussein (as). The participation of the students in such events enhances their morals. The Question and Answer session was an educative forum. On the overall the organizers did a wonderful job.”
