"Your welfare does not lie in your having enormous wealth and numerous children but it rests in your being highly educated and forbearing and in your being proud of your obedience to Allah”. In order to inculculate the spirit of self-reliance among the newly emerging Shia community, it has always been the philosophy of the mission to provide both Religious and Academic Education.

This is a weapon against poverty, discrimination and lack of commitment to religion. The Mission sponsored its first Primary School simultaneously with construction of Mosque and Madrasah at Mackinnon Road in 1972.
A total of 98 teachers have been deployed to impart education - Religious and Academic at fifteen community centres set up in the rural areas. Facilities at these community centres include Mosque, Madrasah, Nursery and Primary schools.
As part of the Pre-Primary School curriculum, the children of 3 to 7 year olds are taught reading and writing skills in addition to Islamic Education in the Nursery schools. The level of teaching qualifies children for admission to Primary school. As at end of year, the enrolment (Boys and Girls) was as follows: No of schools:
| No. of students
| Madrasah
| 18 | 2,937 | | Nursery | 14 | 1,036 | | IRE in Primary | 15 | 4,000 |
The Imam of the Mosque provides spiritual guidance in conducting Madrasah, Daily Salatul Jamat, Salatul Jum'a, Observance of Occassions such as Wiladat and Wafat of Aimma (a.s). In addition the auspicious events of Muharram, Meeladun Nabi, Rajab and Shaban are arranged at all these centres.
More than 4000 boys and girls learn about Islam from 15 teachers sponsored by the Mission in government schools.
