This year Bilal Muslim Mission of Kenya organized a grand function to celebrate the Wiladat of the first Imam, Ameerul Mu’minin, Imam Ali bin Abu Talib (a.s) on 3rd July 2010 at Bilal Hall, Mombasa.

The occasion commenced with the recitation of the Holy Qur’an by Ustadh Khallid Ahmed.

This was followed by a qasida by students of Madrasah Ameerul Mu’minin Matuga, which praised the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.w) and his Ahlul Bayt (a.s).

Ustadh Jamali Abdallah Kasole delivered an informative speech detailing on the life of our beloved Imam. He started by giving a background information on both the parents of the Imam and concluded his speech by quoting words of wisdom from Imam Ali bin Abu Talib (a.s)’s speech famously known as ‘Khutbatu- shaq shaqiyyah’ from Nahjul Balagha. 

Br. Omar Kopa presented a vote of thanks followed by recitation of dua by Sheikh Sajjadali Musa.  Niyaz was served.
