BMMK organized a 3 Day Professional Development Workshop for pre-primary teachers from April 20th - 22nd, 2010 at the Bilal Hall.

A total of 35 pre-primary teachers from 15 BMMK centres and Humanitarian Welfare Group attended this workshop.

The seminar was conducted by members from BMMK QASD department on different topics such as:

• Teaching methodologies and innovation
• Teaching Aids
• Record Keeping
• Scheme of work and lesson plan
• Tableegh in Rural Centre
• Position of women in Islam and their rights

External facilitators were invited to deliberate on different topics.   Mr. Mwangi, one of the external facilitator emphasized on the policy of education, its vision and the principles of early childhood education. Challenges / Solutions faced by the pre-primary teachers on day to day basis were answered to satisfaction by Mrs. Tahera Peera.

Sis Ruiya Salim and Sis Sophie spoke on subjects related to Position of women in Islam and their rights.

Sis Zainbab Makoti shed light on the field trip conducted at the centres alongwith with the visitors from Wal ul asr Eduation Centre during the 10 days of Muharrum, Sis Amina Kamanza and Sis Chausiku Said spoke about the training they have undergone at Kibaha and what they have learnt.   The attendants expressed their appreciation and suggested that such workshop be organized quite oftenly to enable them learn new skills
