BMMK Pays Tribute to Tableegh Workers Print E-mail

BMMK PAYS TRIBUTES TO TABLEEGH WORKERS

“Zindagi ke kuchh lamhe yaadgaar hote hai,
Yaado me kuchh log khaas hote hai,
Yu to who door hote hai nazro se,
Par unka ehsaas dilke paas hote hai”.

The Chairman of Bilal Muslim Mission of Kenya, Alhaj Abbas H M Nasser, paid tribute to the three prominent honorary tableegh workers who passed away in one week.

The Chairman was addressing a large gathering at the function organized by the Ithna-Asheri Young Men’s Union and Mehfil - e -Hussein to celebrate the grand occasion of Wiladat’s of Imam Hussein (AS), Imam Zainul Abideen (AS), Hazrat Abbas Ibne Ali (AS) and Imam Mahdy (AF)

While addressing the community he reflected on their contributions made in the propagation of the Madhab Ahlulbait (a.s.).

Marhum Alirazabhai, one of the brothers of our Africa Federation Chairman, Alhaj Ramzanbhai Nanji, dedicated his life and financial resources to tableegh work, especially in the spread of Islam among the indigenous Kenyans up-country.  His propagation activities stretched from Nairobi to the Maasailand.  Marhoom was instrumental in the establishment of Madrasatul Rasool Al-Akram in Nairobi.

He has been the Head Teacher of Hydery Madressa in Nairobi for close to 30 years

The madrasah manuals being used by majority of the madaris in East Africa and abroad, was his brain child and published under his supervision.

Marhum Alirazabhai was one of the pioneers for setting up the Hajj Assistant Committee.
He accompanied the Hajj caravan every year, including last year, despite being very ill.

ImageMarhum Riyaz Raza Ebrahim Sheriff, who died at the tender age in a car accident in Madagascar while on a Tableegh Mission. Marhoom was the grandson of the past Chairman of Africa Federation, Marhum Alhaj Ebrahim Sheriff Dewji.
Last Tuesday, we received the shocking news of the tragic death of a prominent member of our Mombasa Jamat, Alhaj Jafferbhai Husein Visram.  He was a member of the Constitution Review Committee and Hilal Committee of the Jamat. He was also the Chairman of the Tableegh Board of AFED.

Marhum articulated his views with decorum and made valuable contributions to the deliberations during Jamat and Council meetings.

Let us pray to Allah (s.w.t.) to grant the marhoomeens lofty abode in close proximity of our chaharda masumeen and give the bereaved families patience to bear the loss.

Please recite suratul fateha for the isaale sawaab of Alhaj Alirazabhai Nanji, Br. Riaz Sheriff, Alhaj Jeffarbhai Visram and all our marhummens.
