In response to the Famine Appeal, the Seniors/Wazee of the K.S.I Jamaat, Mombasa raised funds for distribution of relief food.  The members of the group actively devoted time to visit the villages on 1st and 21st March, 2009.

Relief food worth One Million Shillings weighing 24,820 kgs included items such as Maize, Beans, Sugar, Rice, Salt and Tea leaves was distributed to 1143 families in 4 villages in the Rural Centres. Confectionary was distributed to the children. 

On behalf of the Communities from the Rural centre and Bilal Muslim Mission of Kenya, we would like to thank the Seniors/Wazee of the K.S.I.Jamaat, Mombasa and all the anonymous donors for their support.
