WAFATUN NABIY SEMINAR 1430 AH

To commemorate the occasion of Wafutun Nabiy, Bilal Muslim Mission of Kenya, organized a seminar inviting the Imams and Madrasah Teachers from neighboring madrasahs of Kiwambale, Kichaka, Anziwani and Shimoni to Madrasah Ahlil Kisaa, Kichakamkwaju. 

The aim of the event was to create a platform for inter-madhab discussion.

The seminar was held at on 1st of March 2009 and was presided over by Ustadh Juma Iddi Nzala of Madrasah Ahlil Kisaa Kichakamkwaju.

The seminar was attended by more than 35 teachers including women.

After recitation from the holy Qur’an by Ustadh Abdalla Shariff from Kichakamkwaju, Kiswahili marsiya was recited by Ustadh Saidi Athumani from Kiwambale. 

 

Ustadh Juma Shughuli presented the first khutba. In his khutba he discussed the event of the prophet’s death. He touched on issues such as:

  • * Importance of having a leader in a society

  • * The army of Usama bin Zaid bin Harith

  • * Importance of making a will (Wasiyya)

The second speaker, Ustadh Ali Bahero expanded more on the tradition of hadith thaqalan. He expounded it in terms of:

  • * Its reference

  • *  Chain of transmitters

  • * The content

Thereafter participants were involved in an interactive Question/Answer session. This session attracted questions from different topics in and of the speakers’ speeches.

 

It was commendable to note that the Women participated in this seminar and were eager to learn more about Shia Madhab.
