I, Amar Mruu, born in a peasant family background being the fourth sibling; hails from Jimba Location (Rabai) in the Rural areas of Kilifi District. I joined Bofu Primary School where I completed my Primary level Examination (KCPE) in 1994. Coming from a poor background my parents were unable to pay for my further education. | My dreams for pursuit of education were fulfilled when I got sponsorship from the ZCSS through the BMMK to attend Rasul Al-Akram Academy in Nairobi to undertake the Secondary level Education. I succesfully achieved the Kenya certificate of Secondary Education in 1998. Thereafter I joined Mombasa Polytechnic in the year 2000 to undertake Diploma in Architecture. I secured my Diploma in Architecture in year 2002. | On completion of the course I secured employment as Architectural Draughtman. Currently I am working with an Estate Development Agency (Twin peaks Development Corporation) as Technician in Malindi. I am also assisting the BMMK for technical advice related to centre construction projects as a gesture of appreciations towards their all time support given to me. Today I’m a happily married person and have two children. I am able to support my family and also send supplementary amounts to my parents in the rural village. The assistance received from Zainabiya Child Sponsorship Scheme and Bilal Muslim Mission of Kenya has made it possible for me to complete my education with ease. It has bridged me up to the professional career of my choice. The road to being a professional and continue doing so is still a long way. I’m looking towards tracing it up there and attain a degree or a Master from any reputable University. I pray to Allah (swt) that I receive the required support in order to achieve goal in life. |
