Hassan Rumba Nyamawi: Mackinnon Road Centre. Print E-mail

Image I, Hassan Rumba Nyamawi born on 16th August 1982 at Mackinon Road, Samburu Division-100 km from Mombasa along the Mombasa-Nairobi Highway. I come from a poor family, being the second child from eighteen children.

In 1987, I joined Jaffery Nursery School which is being maintained by the Bilal Muslims Mission of Kenya, where I attended both Nursery School & Madrassah Classes.

In 1989 I joined standard one in Jaffery Primary School another school which was built by the Bilal Muslim Mission of Kenya and the Government of Kenya till 1997.  I appeared for my KCPE and I managed to score 429 marks out of 700. Allah Akbar, with the help of sponsorship received from Bilal Muslims Mission of Kenya and ZCSS I joined the AL RASUL AL AKRAM ACADEMY NAIROBI (1998-1999).

In 1999, I had a health problem with the weather in Nairobi and I was transferred in Kwale High School where I attended my form 3 & 4 and God assisted me where I scored B- (minus) in my KCSE and this is where my life had a turning point.

In 2002, Bilal Muslims Mission of Kenya (may Allah bless them) sponsored me to join Kenya Medical Training College Port Reitz where I managed to secure my diploma in Clinical Medicine and Surgery in July 2005.

This was the turning point in my life.  A dream fulfilled, with a new meaning in my life and certificate in my hand, to enable me to get a job in this world of unemployment. And face new challenges in my life.

Since then I have been working in the Private Hospital at Kilifi (Pwani Maternity & Nursing Home).  I do thank Allah and all those who contributed to my success as I was brought up from nowhere to somewhere. Currently I am working as a Clinical Officer and 2nd in command after the Director who is the Medical Officer Incharge of the Health facility.

A part from working, I also attend free medical camps organized by Bilal Muslim Mission of Kenya.

Alhamdulillah, I am now married with two children and am able to support my younger brothers and parents financially.   All this has been possible because of the educational support given to me at the right time in order to make me what I am today.

I would like to take this opportunity to pass my sincere thanks to the Bilal Muslim Mission of Kenya, and all muslim brothers and sisters who contributed to my successful destiny.

Wabillahi tawfig.
Hassan Rumba Nyamawi
