The Imams from our Centres in the Rural areas converged at Bilal Hall, Mombasa for a six day staff development workshop held from July 7th-11th and July 28th, 2008 This workshop was to provide continuous professional development, strengthen the leadership and management skills so as to empower Masjid Imams to lead the community. It also provided a platform for sharing experiences and challenges that would help enhance efforts in tableegh. Sheikh Husayn Baydhun delivered thought provoking lectures on Tawheed. 
In Fiqh the performance of topics Salatul Idayn, Salatul Jumaa, Salatul Istisqaa were deliberated by Sheikh Ramadhan Ngwame and Mulla Sajjadali Musa. The issues of Tarikh such as Khilafat, Status of Imam Ali, the companions of Holy Prophet s.a.w.w. were tackled by Ustadh Muhammad Dumila. Detailed session on Ahkamul Mayyit was conducted by Sheikh Fazle Abbas Datoo. 
The Officers of Quality Assurance & Standards Department took the participants through sessions on revisions to the Madrasah syllabus, Community Leadership, Education records and promoting Community participation. This is to enhance and equip them with effective techniques in development of activities in the Centres. The participants had opportunity to participate in various duas and salatul jamaat sessions at the Husayni masjid. The highlight of the dua sessions was participating in the Aamal of Laylatu Raghaib, on Thursday night Rajab 6, 1429 AH at Husayni Masjid. 
The participants commented as follows: • I have benefited a lot from the various topics covered in this workshop…... • The modules covered have equipped me to deliver my role as Masjid Imam and Community Leader……... • I have achieved skills of delegating duties effectively in the community at the centres. The session has made me committed to carry out my duties with zeal and enthusiasm so as to propagate the faith of Ahlul Bayt a.s……….. In his closing address Al Hajj Muhsinali Jaffer, whilst relating experiences of tableegh in other regions, urged the participants to adapt the methods of operation for Tableegh based on the circumstances and local needs.
