The project at Moyeni involves extension and renovation of the Masjid, construction of four new classrooms block, house for the Masjid Imam and installation of Rainwater catchment tanks. The entire development project at Moyeni will cost around U.S.$ 124,665.00 There is still a shortfall of US $ 23,000.00 and it is hoped that this will be forthcoming with generous donations from Muminin.

The local community leaders were introduced by Mr.Ahmed Ali and Sheikh Fazleabbas Datoo from the Bilal Secretariat.

Speaking at Moyeni, the Guest of Honour Haji Hassan A. M. Jaffer recalled the Hadith of the Holy Prophet (saww) that when a person dies, his account books of deeds is closed shut except for the three things which he might have done in his life time.

*Leave behind a charity that continues to benefit mankind after his departure;

*Bequeath knowledge that continues to benefit mankind after his departure; and

*Leave behind virtuous progeny who would pray for the deceased parents.

In that spirit, he lauded the donors for their contributions, the Muallims and the teachers for their services in training the children and urged elders to work in harmony with the Muallims and the teachers to develop virtuous progeny who in turn would remember them after their death.
