A Two day workshop was held on April 15-April 16, 2008 at the Bilal Hall for the Pre-Primary Teachers of Bilal Muslim Mission of Kenya.  The main objective of this workshop was to develop the teaching skills and introduce the participants to the latest techniques in preparing Integrated Schemes of Work and promote Managerial skills.

On the first day of the workshop the participants underwent practical / written test in Islamiyat in order to evaluate their potential to undertake additional duties in the Madrasah Section.  The test covered topics on Mode of performing Ibadah, Quran recitation, Tarikh, Fiqh and Aqaid.  Special emphasis was laid on Ghusl Mayyit.

Thereafter the participants were grouped in order to discuss their problems / experiences with other teachers and share the challenges they face whilst teaching.  Many points relating to different issues were raised. These were well answered by Officers in our Quality Assurance and Standards Department. (QASD).

On the second day, teachers who had been selected to attend a teachers training workshop in March 2008, made a presentation to all participants. This was followed by a paper on role of Pre-Primary Teacher as a Muballigha.  

Presentations in the workshop were done by Sheikh Ramadhan, Ustadh Jamal Kasole, Br Iddy Kumbukumbu, Br. Ahmedali, Br. Fazle Abbas, Mulla Sajjad Bishon and Zahra Madrasah teachers.
