Electronic Media is the in thing today. Followers of different faiths in all parts of the world have introduced innovative Radio and TV programmes to convey the message of their respective faiths. The need for harnessing such modern technology to convey the message of Islam in keeping with the teachings of Ahlul Bayt cannot be overemphasised. 
On October 1st 2007, ‘Hidaya ya Ramadhan’ a Bilal Muslim Mission of Kenya radio production, hit the airwaves on KBC’s Pwani 103.0 FM station. This pilot project undertaken by Bilal Muslim Mission of Kenya has generated a healthy response. It is evident that such undertakings are of great educational value and a worthwhile endeavour.
Hidaya ya Ramadhan (Guide for Ramadhan) was an 6 series special program broadcasted from 1st October – 6th October 2007. It was aimed at educating about the spirit of Holy month of Ramadhan. In addition to recital of Ahadith and Qasidas, highly informative lessons were delivered by Sheikh Abdillahi Nassir,Seyyid Aidarus Mzee Mwenye and Ustadh Muhammed Dumila. The following main themes were expounded: Significance of Shahru Ramadhan Philosophy of Fasting and its benefits Ahlul Bayt and Imam Hassan (as) Tafseer:Surah Maun and Suratul Qadr Ummul Muminin Bibi Khadija (as) Lessons from the Martydom of Imam Ali (as) Tawba and Istighfaar Farewell to Shahru Ramadhan At the end of some of the programs, simple questions were posed to stimulate interaction with listeners and encourage them to provide feedback and continue tuning in. The overwhelming response received from the listeners has encouraged us to undertake Radio Programs as an essential additional medium for tableegh outreach.
